I'm Dahiana Rodriguez-James and I am a rising senior from Connecticut.

My interests are art, movies, science, legal studies and helping our environment become a better place. I

am part of the social media and political research teams & I’m excited to be part of WHM!!

Fiona Yong

Hi, I’m Fiona Yong, she/they.

I’m a junior attending Midwood High School and aspire to major in Business Management.

My passion is to create solutions for a sustainable, natural environment through innovation. Through this major, I would gain a powerful voice to have those issues heard and solved. It would also complement my desire for a career that includes teamwork, activism, and guidance.

For hobbies, I started making digital art 3-4 years ago which has now turned into a freelance job, and am now working towards starting up my own small business. As for things I like, green is my lucky color this year!

Thank you for having me this year! I’m glad to be part of this wonderful organization :)

Hey, my name is Wagd Elhag, I'm a rising Sophomore at Midwood Highschool.

I play soccer and enjoy drawing and reading. 

I really like science so I'm planning on studying medicine. Science has an incredible ability to explain the mysteries of the world and the universe around us.

Science encourages critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

It helps us better understand and appreciate the world around us.

I have a passion for science and a desire to help people. I really want to have a profound impact on the lives of others through healthcare.

Isa is a high school senior currently studying visual arts in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas.

She is extremely passionate about anthropology, global affairs, and environmentalism.

Isa has plans to eventually pursue a career in international law.

Jasmina Abidova

Heyy!! My name is Jasmina Abidova.

I’m an incoming Humanities Institute sophomore at Midwood High School.

Some fun facts about me are that: I play volleyball, love to hang out with friends, go out, am recently elected as Sophomore Vice President, speak 3 languages, and I genuinely enjoy rewatching tv shows and movies that I love. In the future, I aspire to become a corporate attorney and currently have a summer internship at a local law office. I’m extremely excited to work together in hopes of renovating low-income housing and bringing awareness to the unsuitable living conditions which are provided by the NYCHA. “It’s not where you live, It’s how you live.”

Musharrof Hossain

Hi, my name is Musharrof Hossain and I am a rising senior at Brooklyn Technical High School.

I am an individual who has a deep appreciation for history, as it provides me with a deep understanding of myself and the world around me.

Exploring the past allows me to gain insights into different cultures, societies, and events, enhancing my perspective toward others. I

n addition to my passion for history, I am drawn to the field of environmental science. I recognize the pressing environmental issues that my generation and future generations will face, and I want to help by any means to make a positive impact on this major crisis.

Furthermore, journalism holds a special place in my heart. I believe in the power of information and the ability of journalism to educate and empower individuals to create meaningful change. By raising awareness and giving a voice to the voiceless, I aim to inspire action and create change.  I am also really into sports, especially basketball.  

I am a big fan of the Denver Nuggets (A Basketball Organization).  I love to watch Jokic’s amazing passes and how he is able to masterfully control a basketball game.

Hi, my name is Lizandra Hawkinson.

 I am a rising Freshman at Boston University majoring in Psychology.

I am passionate about music, social justice, and nature.

Hello, I'm Lina Xu, and my pronouns are she/her. I'm a Junior in Midwood High School. I'm currently on the Pre-Engineering track, although I aspire to major in Business Management and Finance in college. In the past, I've done Creative Writing and Journalism, as well as Theatre Production more recently. A fun fact about me is that my favorite season and birthday is in winter.

Tamera Simon

Hi everyone, my name is Tamera Simon.

I'm a current high school senior from Georgia, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this organization that aims to make a difference for those who are unable to feel at home in their NYC housing.

I want to major in biomedical engineering and concentrate on regenerative medicine in the future. I find it interesting because it mixes my love of science and technology with the chance to help create ground-breaking healthcare solutions.

I intend to help enhance the methods and technologies that encourage the regrowth and repair of harmed tissues and organs.

Some of my hobbies are reading, skateboarding, and listening to music.
